Australian National Botanic Gardens

The Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra is an oasis of greenery and tranquility, set on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. The gardens are the perfect place to forget about your hectic life for a day, exploring nature's beauty and immersing yourself in a world where time seems to stand still. If you're looking for relaxation or inspiration, it doesn't get much better than this!

Today, the gardens house a world-class collection of over 12 000 different types of plants. In addition to their extensive collections, they also have a large garden centre which is open year round and contains more than 2000 varieties of Australian native trees and shrubs. Their 'Garden for Kids' exhibit features interactive displays that teach kids about botany while entertaining them with puzzles, games and other hands on activities!

Best time to visit: The Gardens are an oasis all year round but there's nothing quite like it during Spring when the flowers bloom in full colour or during Autumn where you can see dozens upon dozens of species changing colours before your very eyes. Summer days are perfect for picnicking among giant figs under shady trees.

The Australian National Botanic Gardens is a heritage-listed botanical garden located in Canberra. The Gardens are located on a section of the original Acton estate, which once belonged to William Campbell.

The Australian National Botanic Gardens was established in 1927 and is recognised as one of the most important botanical gardens in Australia for its plant collections from temperate zones around the world. It includes an arboretum that contains many species of trees and shrubs with international significance

If you're looking for a unique experience, then make your way over to Parliament House during September-October when they host their annual open day event called "National Garden Week." Visitors can enjoy all sorts of activities including guided tours, talks by experts about various topics related to gardening or agriculture, live music performances plus many more!
